Breakfast stop on old N6

    Can anyone suggest a nice place for breakfast on the old N6 road around Kilbeggan, Horsleap or Moate? I'd very much appreciate it. Thanks.

    Only place in kilbeggan would be the Topaz garage, Horseleap i dont think would have anywhere, Moate would have a few places i would imagine for its size.

    Check out Kilbeggan Distillery. They do a nice breakfast. Ya'd have to check opening times though

    If you'll go as far as Moate then head on 10 minutes more and get something in Kilmartins in Athlone. Its right on the old N6, cant miss it. Decent grub in there

    If you are willing to go the other way to tyrrellpass there is the castle restreraunt on the outskirts, fantastic breakfast for €7.95, friendly staff very relaxed athmospere and great food. any excuse I excuse iI get I go there for breakfast or lunch, the prices go up after 4pm for the evening menu
