Memoryc have an 8GB microSD + SD adapter for €5.78. Class 4, so same as LIDL there. Delivery is free with them, by the way.

They have a good few faster SD cards at the €8-10 range.

They also have Class 4 SD 16Gb cards for €10.46.

Do Memoryc ship from Ireland or are the products shipped from a different country?

    +1

Have bought from them at least 100 times. You can collect from them too if you need it now! Best of both worlds. Pay online prices and collect in B&M shop :D

Getting New digital camera soon. Is higher class card important for taking photos?

    Higher class = better performance.

For a new Digital camera (depends on spec etc), you'd need a class 6 MINIMUM IMO.

MemoryC have great cards at a good price. Got a Class 10 16Gb for €13-ish last month (incl delivery etc) - 2 days delivery. Very happy and hope they keep it up.

(I Have no connection to MemoryC, except being a happy customer.)

Especially if are shooting 1080p, class 10 is prob the best.

Absolutely, I was a bit ignorant to this and used a class 4 card to shoot 1080i and it gives an occasional stutter. Lesson learnt and I now have a faster card.

can you just call in to memory C to shop or is it on-line payment only

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,710 ✭✭✭Monotype

They don't have an actual shop but you can collect from them - I don't know if an order has to be processed through the website. You could probably ring them up.

Edit: You can pay them with cheques and postal orders. They don't mention cash on the website if that's what you're thinking but they might if you were calling in to them rather than sending it by post.
