The chemical componenst of filling materials are being updated all the time, if this turns out to be a good material it will gain widespread use, its not it wont. It would have to go through a long safety and durability testing before being marketed.

I think the bile acid thing is more of a media story than anything else. While I am sure the chemistry is similar to bile acids it will be manufactured in a lab and will have never seen a stomach. Still grabs attention. Thanks for the link interesting.

Hey just wondering if any dentists here have some inside information on if the fillings made from bile acids are likely to reach manufacturing stage in the near future?.

Previous link doesn't work , not for me anyway. I've found a centre in the West that can help me anyway. Thanks.

please do not go to that log cabin in westport. every dentist in the country is well able to do what they consider to be a speciality, and they won't charge you near as much.

Why do you care what brand the fillng is,if you want biocompatible get porcelain fillings. This notion of one brand of white fillng being more biocompatible than another is nonsense and is touted only by quacks preying on the gulable. Remember these are set materials and leach nothing out at any appreciable rate.

Can you have small cavities in molars filled with porcelain?. I thought it was just veneers. I'd rather not travel to Westport.

You could have them filled with whatever you want, gold, porcelain, composite or amalgam. The porcelain willbe cemented usually with a composite cement.

Don't fall for the bull****,just get composite fillings and allow the dentist decide what brand to use.

You have a billion bacteria in your teeth producing acid and exotoxins, don't get stressed about filling materials, stress about why you have cavities. This holistic dentistry is for fools with more money than sense and there are plenty out there willing to separate this fools form this money.
