Creative T40 Series II - increase distance between speakers ?

    Need to extend the distance between speakers for a Creative T40 set of 2.0 speakers.

    The only cable going from the powdered speaker to its partner us terminated with an RCA looking jack.

    Would I be able to extend this cable with a standard RCA cable or would I need a custom cable that would carry power as well as sound ?
