looking for a racing bike but im no expert on whats good and whats bad.
im looking for a decent racing bike for under 500 euro.
the bike must be lightweight and able to go long distance without too much discomfort.
all reccomendations will be greatly appreciated.

I'd recomend you look at Decatleon's B'Twin Triban 3 which costs about €400 delivered
    from their Belfast store.
There is a thread about the bike here which I updated with details of a recent positive review:

Buy secondhand as €500 is unlikely to get you a new, decent, lightweight bike. Have a look in the adverts subforum here, donedeal and adverts.ie.

You want some help you'll have to give more information. You could start with your height. Regarding having others show you some secondhand bikes, unless they are selling their own, you probably ought to do the donkey work yourself. I mentioned some sites to look at in my previous post.

54cm frame should suit your height.

Try Halfords. I started off on one of their Carrera models i think it was under 500.
