    hi
i have an uncle living in the uk, and he wants to find out what are the best options for him to get the irish stations (rte, tv3, tg4) on the sky box in the uk.

a friend said its possible to order irish multiroom, then move the card and box to the uk?

would there be any chance of the irish stations being added to sky for the general public, once the analog signal is turned off?

    any suggestions welcome.
    thanks

The Irish channels will never be FTA via the Sky system. They are subscription only in Ireland and will continue to be so after analogue switch off.

Multiroom requires all boxes to be connected to the same telephone line.

On no account go for multiroom. As the previous poster said Multiroom requires the box to be connected to a phone line. The best bet is to obtain a second hand box via eBay or Buyandsell, ask Sky for a second hand contract - which does not oblige you to connect the box to a phone line.
