Yes - I know the question sounds stupid, but I want to brew the Brewferm Christmas in time for this christmas. Its a 1.53 gallon kit, which I was thinking of brewing in my 1 gallon glass carboys.

If I spread it equally in two of them, it leaves 0.24 gallons left in the carboy for the krasen in each. I've read that this is a very foamy brew - would that be enough space? The only fermenters I have is 3 x 5 gallon glass carboys and 1 x 30 litre plastic fermenter.

I was hoping to make this at the weekend!

    Thanks!

Buy 3 kits and brew them in the 30 Litre fermenter. Using Demijohns for primary is messy as hell. The brew ferm kits are good. Mine (an Old Brown that has been slowly fermenting since forever (my fault)) has a real good flavour to it.

Thanks - Following your advice I bit the bullet and bought a 10l FV for €8. Will do it in that instead. I like having a wide variety rather than just crap loads of one type. I have about 40 bottles of Muntons IPA which I am finding it difficult to get through at the moment - I want the emties back!

If you were making a christmas beer, I would be keen to make more of it.

I am guessing that they are more robust and stronger, so they will keep better. I would favour larger batches.

I lose a lot of my brew percentage wise when I brew in smaller containers.

    How do you mean?

You lose the same volume regardless of the fermenter size
