so im considering installing a solid fuel stove or back boiler ( i know, efficiency ) to help me use less kerosene..
but im not sure if its straight forward..
my fireplace / chimney breast is in the centre of the room with no walls on either side ( freestanding chimney breast with clear space either side ) so theres no where to hide / box in piping... without it looking terrible at least ..wondering could the pipework be put in the floor, id only have to cut about a 2-3m channell..
to get to the hot press the pipework will have to rise through the first floor into the attic and over to the hot press, roughly 5.5m rise ...doesnt have to go far across once it gets there about 2m ..is that much of a rise ok
where does the pump go, if its beside the back boiler im a bit screwed as theres nowhere to put it..or does it go in the hot press..
ive got a lot of radiators..10 downstairs and 6 upstairs..if im going for a stove would it make sense to link it to the downstairs circuit..seeing as that heat will rise anyway and contribute to upstairs rather than buying a stove to heat 16 rads..
if going with the stove does the flue need to be lined with those metal liners....
