cycle superstore do assos...or chain reaction...or slane cycles..expensive but worth it if your doing longer spins.... NB...buy a size bigger than normal in assos.. "snug" fitting..

I have a pair of santini bib shirts and I also have bib shorts I bought on eBay from Hong kong along with a jersey for half the price of the santinis and to be honest I can't notice any difference in them. Maybe over time the cheap ones won't wear as well but for now I can't fault them.

I have these Look bibs (now 40% off), they've been brilliant for me so far especially on the longer cycles.

I find Endura are a nice middle of the road brand. I've a lot of their stuff. (which you'll get off CRC)

What's the sizing like on these Surinam? Can't find a sizing guide online anyhwere. (More interested in height - I have a pair of shorts that are S and are perfect; also have a pair that are S and cut my shoulders like cheese wire)

If you're looking for very good value try these - http://cgi.ebay.ie/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=190695733409#ht_629wt_1185

I cycled 275km from Dublin to Clare in them over three days with no problems. There are better, more expensive shorts available but at €15 plus P&P you cannot beat them for value.

I picked up some DHB shorts from Wiggle, after finding Altura ones a bit average on long spins. I find them excellent and hard wearing. Assos seem over the top expensive to me, but like all things bike, I''ll doubtless get converted in years to come.

I risked going one size down (to small) from my usual medium and they fit me perfectly. I am 5"9/5"10 and this is what bib sizing turns on, different to regular shorts. They have been great on the longer cycles (70-100k) and I don't feel them on my shoulders at all.

Remember to wash on gentle/cold cycle in the machine though!

i have the same, went for the mid range ones, not the race ones but not the budget either. only worn then a few times but i like them, my distances have been pretty short so far though, 40 to 50k

I've got dhb Aeron bibs and they're superb. I'm not even considering looking for something else because for that price dhb are just wow, why would you want to spend more? (unless you're professional or sit on bags of money)

    generous sizing too!

Might be a bit tricky for the 6'2", 32" rider so.
