Hey, Im looking to buy my first bike. I was looking at two bikes today a giant defy 2 899e and a specalized allez 750e. the bikes were in different shops. advice on the bikes would be much appreciated. cheers

I have an Allez, my wife has a defy 2. We both like our own bikes.
Try them both if you can then go for the red one because it's faster.

I think i like the defy 2 better. I really dont know a whole lot about bikes. which one would be better? quality, proformance etc Or is there other bikes ye reckon I would be better off starting off on?

The man that was selling me the defy was saying giant are llot better than spec and that the defy 2 is a 10 speed so it would be more advanced than the spec which is a 9 speed basic?

id take the allez over the defy on the fact that i see far too many giant defy's around but the 10 speed will make things a little easier for you, specialized are one of the top bike brands in the world as are giant, cant really go wrong with either tbh
