Hi All, I have one of these and was wondering if I could use it to run a DLNA server? I have a number of network drives which have media on them - too much to consolidate into one drive. Does anyone have any advice has to whether it is good enough to run such a server & if so, are there any suggestions as to which software…

Hi All,

If the consensus is that, what I'm asking is not feasible - anyone got any suggestions as to what to do with a spare 500GB Network drive?

"Enable UPnP Media Server" The how to is on the IOMEGA sight LINK

This is similar to DNLA however those iomegas are not fast enough to side load a multimedia client such as XBMC , however you may look at using a front face ( WTV LIVE , Apple TV 2/3 ) to show your videos and such
