hi, I have a mazda 3, tyres are 205 55 r16, I have a few mondeo tyres 195 65 r15, could I stick two on the front on the mazda, will they fit the Mazda rims, will NCT be OK with that? Where would I find out info like that, apart from asking the guy who sells tyres, who just might have a vested interest?

    Thanks

The 195 will have a larger outside radius (5%) than the 205

I wouldn't. I'd only have larger radius on the back as it looks silly otherwise and I wouldn't put the narrower tyres on the back.

205-55 is a really common size, you'd get second hands for €30 each.

Errrm are the Mondeos 15s or 16s? (OP says 15s)

Oh well in that case, hell no! Assumed it was a misprint as most mondeos I know of are 16 inch unless its the really old model?

15 inch tyres can't be fitted to 16 inch wheels.

The 205/55/16 tyres are what should be kept on the Mazda as its the size the suspension set up/handling etc is designed for.
