    Hi,
I am a 33 year old male with a Learner Permit and no driving experience living in Dublin. I am looking to get insured on 1.2L Punto 00 . I had been told by a few people due to my age that my insurance would not be expensive at all. On ringing a few places today(Britton,AA,Aon,Tesco,Nononsense) the cheapest quote i got was €1,687 and pretty much didnt get any quotes on-line.
Would anyone have any recommendations for insurers for Learner Drivers my age or is that pretty much as good as it's going to get. ?
    Any help greatly appreciated.
    Thanks.

You should be able to do far better than that imo. My 19 Year old brother got a quote closer to 1000 with a Learner Permit and no experience.

Sorry I don't have more advice for you, I got my brothers insurance through Britton. Best bet is to take a few hours over a couple of days and ring everyone, that's how you'll find the best quote! It's annoying, but it's the best way!

You say you dont have driving experience in Dublin.
Do you have any experience anywhere else? Have you ever held a drivers licence before from any country?

Hi there, no driving experience anywhere before and no licence from any other country . I had never the need to drive before until now that is as my circumstances have changed. Have had a few better quoted this morning anyways 1299 with Campion which by far and above the best quote at least its going in the right direction .
    Thanks for your reply too.
