St. Vincent's Hospital bus stop being withdrawn

Does anyone have any info on when or why the Hospital bus stop is being suspended by BE buses to Wexford? I read an article in the local paper about it.

My mother in common with many elderly people use the bus for attending hospital appointments and would be severely inconvenienced by this.

Does this move need the approval of the minister?

If it's true it's utterly pointless as it will hardly speed-up the service and will inconvenience lots of people. Any time I've used the bus there are usually people on and off at Vincents.

Does it mean buses will stay on the N11 instead of turning down then?

I opened a thread on this in the Wexford forum a few weeks ago http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2056706621 and judging from the reaction on Boards it doesn't seem to bother Wexford people, I thought they'd be screaming blue murder. Also to go, provisionally, are the stops at Camolin and the service to Rosslare Harbour.
The thinking behind this is, supposedly,to better compete with Wexford Bus on journey times, which probably means that the remaining services serving Wicklow and Ashford will go too. What future for Arklow using this logic, it's the biggest time wasting detour at the moment?.
Personally, I think this is an effort to kill off Wexford bus, the BE services, at least from from Gorey, are well supported so I don't see people voting with their feet for the extra 15 or so minutes saved by not making these detours, given the hardship that would be imposed on the public by withdrawing them, but when did BE ever give a fcuk about that?

Wexford Bus serve Camolin and both BE/WB get fairly decent traffic loads from it so I can imagine there being resistance if BE stop it; as well as possibly WB having to increase service.

Camolin is a request stop and directly on their route anyway so they only lose time if they have a customer there - its not like it affects them like a detour in to a town does. Its just a LITTLE early to be altering routes to plan for the Enniscorthy Bypass!
