Compound cheaper than Rolled Barley?

Went looking for bagged meal today in DG. Yes I know there are other suppliers out there and bulk is cheaper but I am after a bagged product for convenience as I can leave a weeks worth in the car trailer next to the field. I'd probably get a pallet delivered.

Looking to start feeding our heifers, ~18mth, and our cull cows (currently drying off) and aiming to have them off by mid to late Oct

Rolled Barley 339e/ton in bags but Beeflav is 315e/ton in bags.

I know they only need 2-3kg rolled barley but with the compound being cheaper...?

Any opinions on which is the better buy?

Can you also give a brief summary of the analysis for the ration - no point in just looking at price.

Well you can take it that there is not a lot of rolleedbarley in it. I already commented on this in the meal price check. People are quoting crude protein levels and ration prices see the post in meal price check.

Also give us the list on the label these are the ingredients in decending order. Ask the suplier the & of the first 2-3 ingredients. Watch for fillers.

On second read too that €339 for rolled barley is outrageous!

appologies I had not seen the meal price tracker thread

I'll put a pic of the label up on the other thread.
