    i passed my theory test just under two years ago and i want to apply to get my provisional licence before it expires. i have until september 1st. i have my eye test and my pictures and the guards have signed an ml10 form. my guestion is do i send a postal order and is that everything that i need to send? maybe this is a stupid guestion but i dont want to make any mistakes because its such a short time before it expires. thanks in advance.....

    You can post all that to your nearest Motor Tax Office, it take 2-10 working days before you get your learner permit in the post. Postal order I think you can do that, but think a cheque might be a better option if you can do that.

    I recommend you go down to the Motor Tax Office when its quiet and not so busy. You can pay with €15 in cash like. You wouldn't have to queue too long. It's done in five minutes!

    The eye test report and the passport photos need to be fairly recent. Its only a month away before your theory test pass cert expires. Best to get it sorted as soon as you can otherwise you have to sit the theory test again.
