Is it normal to have a bit of play in rear wheel? When QR is closed there is a bit of sideways movement in rear wheel. When cycling there is a clicking noise present when freewheeling and pedaling, which i think ive narrowed down to the rear wheel. need to get it sorted for Kilkenny this weekend.

your hub bearings might be loose/or probably shot. how long is it since the wheel was last serviced?
I#d take it to a shop soon as, because if its the bearings you might need to source the correct
replacements which aren't always readily at hand...
