My mate is a member in the Island and we have two spots available in our fourball tomorrow (around 3.45pm).

There is a semi open so you would need to have a GUI handicap.

    Anyone interested?

Awesome offer! I would be interested in putting my name in the hat to join yous! Played the Island once before, and thought it was pure class.
Have the Gui and play off 12 ( sometimes;0) )

I'm going to go out on a limb here, a work colleague of mine from the states is an avid golfer, apart from being a total gent he plays off 1. In his trips so far I've brought him around the midlands and he's managed a few rounds on top courses like The European/Baltray/Royal Dublin early on his day of departure/arrival as a one-ball.
Anyhow, The Island is on his list however they will not accept his booking as a one-ball, he even wrote to them without success.
I don't live near Dublin and simply don't have the annual leave or resources to accompany him.
I'm reaching out to fellow Boardies (or even a member if possible) to see would we have someone willing to play at first tee-off (or very close to) on the morning of September 27th coming (a Thursday).
    Cheers

I've wanted to play this for some time but have been keeping an eye ut for an open comp. DO you know how much the green fee is at the moment?

I've had a kind PM to make up a 4Ball however my colleague has got a slot in Portmarnock at first light so in the interest of making his flight has gone for it.
    Thanks for considering folks
