Laptop Pc vs Other option..

Hi there,

I have been thinking for the past while of purchasing a new laptop pc computer but my only problem is, is that i have been tempted into buying a macbook air/pro. So here are my 2 questions.
1 Is it worth going for a mac vs a good specced cheaper laptop pc?
2 Can anyone recommend me a good quality build PC laptop around the €400-600 price point? BTW, I want it to last me for the next 5 years or so.

Note: I have relatives in the states +canada that can purchase macbooks off the refurbished online store for around 600/700 euro but would it be worth bothering doing so?

I know its a long oul post but I'd appreciate if someone can help me out here.. cheers

If you were intrested in gaming u could on that xps faster than any macbook and well worth the money.

At komplett, there is a Tosh with the latest Ivy Bridge Core i7 quad, 8 GB RAM and AMD Radeon HD7670M. Needless to say, it will put any refurb MBP to shame, although the price tag slightly exceeds your budget, €749 but shipping is free.

That's a tough call, nobody can really predict the future. But you should really go for the latest processor then.

I just checked the Apple store for refurbs, a Refurbished 2009 MacBook Pro 2.26GHz Intel Core 2 Duo sells for 789 Dollar... and you don't want a C2D in 2017!

No, a 500GB platter HDD (a 160 GB platter HDD in this refurb MBP)

But again at komplett, there is a very fast A-Data 128 GB SSD for €115. Upgrade it yourself.
