    Hi All

Looking for some help on putting a value on my Dad's car if it were to be sold privately. Not much on Carzone with similar details so I thought I would try my learned friends on the Motors forum for their opinion.

    Here are the details:

2008 Merc CLK 200 Elegance Coupe
    Burgundy/Wine color
    Cream leather interior
    Automatic transmission
    1.8 Petrol
    14,000 miles/22,500 kilometers

Very good condition due to low mileage, but no bluetooth or sunroof.

One thing to note which may make a difference: this car has not been serviced since mid 2010.

Thanks in advance for your help.

    Austin

Advertise for €15K and sell for €14K private.
    Mileage is too low.

At least get the oil changed, even if that's all that's done.

Will do - thanks for the tip. Unfortunately my Dad passed away recently and he hadn't been driving for some time beforehand - this meant that proper upkeep of the car was overlooked for a while.

As a matter of interest, RoverJames, would you agree with Gary's figures above?

Very sorry to hear that, tough time for you.

Wouldn't have a clue about the valuation to be honest, if it's after a recent oil change though it's better than being overdue :)
