If you're looking to swing a motorised dish around, you need it to be mounted in free space - I.E up on an actual pole above obstructions and not on the type of mounting bracket pictured in your post. They are designed mainly for fixed positioning of a standard dish.

I have an 80cm dish set up with a motor and can receive from about 40 degrees east and west - you won't get that range of clearance to turn a dish from a bracket that places your dish backed up against a wall. I use two stand off brackets to hold a pole in place about 2ft out from the rear wall of the house with a pole height extending above the gutter by about three feet so that the dish can swing east/west without obstruction. The dish is actually below the max apex of the roof and so can't be seen from the front of the house, but it's position is sufficient to receive from all of the available arc.

For the dish size indicated, you will also need something far stronger than the standard mount pictured.

I can't find a suitable picture to show you, but you need something to hold a length of strong pole up above wall or roof height (depending on what it's attached to) and then mount your dish on that pole.

In simple terms, the main part of the job is mounting an actual pole properly and then you attach the dish to it as the second step.

    Edit -

    I found something more suitable - http://www.tvtrade.ie/18-h-galvanised-wall-bracket.html
The pole is held in place on the two mounting positions (slots) using U bolts.

    2 of these...http://www.tvtrade.ie/24-wall-brackets-k-type.html

    &

    1 of these..http://www.satworld.ie/product-info.php?200mm_Galv_Steel_Mast_60mm_Dia-pid452.html

    2 U bolts and wall plugs/bolts.

You'll find them cheaper if you hunt I'm sure, but they will work fine.

That's exactly it Dodzy - they're perfect for the job.

OP - just make sure you use strong anchor bolts to securely mount the brackets. The wind load on the dish can be severe at times. Best to over-spec and be sure nothing is going to move when the gales hit. They come with self tightening metal sleeve inserts that you drill in to the wall first. They are expensive, but are the only things worth doing the job with.

You can't put this stuff up with rawl plugs and wood screws (have seen people try).
