    Can see it being a close one to call. I'd imagine the numbers being something in the region of;

    Cork: 5,000
    Kerry: 5,000
    Donegal: 15,000
    Kildare: 13,000

Roscommon minors are playing aswell and will probably bring c. 2,000 - add on a couple of thousand neutrals and I'd estimate there'll be a little over 40,000.

My numbers could be way out here but factoring in the fact that they're opening the Hill, I think you'd fit that number in without opening the top tier. Open to correction on this.

I'd expect Kildare to bring closer to 20k. There will be some neutrals as well. Might not be enough to open the top tiers though

Think Donegal might as well. I think the level of interest in this is close to the 03 AI Semi aganist Armagh or the Ulster final in 04.

Mad Men's Don Draper : What you call love was invented by guys like me, to sell nylons.

The Muff club is running up huge orders already and I know lots of people who have already bought theirs in Super Value so it appears Croke Park fever has indeed hit the hills.

The trains from Kingdom have sold out amazingly CIE sold train tickets at €40 return instead of their price gouging €75 which they tried last September. That backfired and there was seats empty on the train to the AI-Final.

A good Kerry contingent going up and alot of people will drive though. My mother last night said, I might go, you'd never know I might see Daniel O'Donnell, :D:D:D Irish mammies lol!

the predictions here for each county's support is hilarious , there will be over 70k in croke park sunday ,might even be close to full house ... the guy that says kerry wiil have 5k at the games must not follow GAA very closely ! they will be 16k- 18k fans from kerry at the game ... kerry had 5k in mullingar and about 7k in limerick , no way will they be less than 70k at these games..

70k for quarter finals no chance. Between 45-55,000 max on Sunday i'd say and the only likely sell out this year will be the All Ireland final.

Good chance of at least breaking 50k Sunday, even 55k doesn't seem impossible. Opening the Hill only encourages people torn about going to make the trip and the bill is attractive to any fan of football, whatever county they're from.

Also the fact it is a bank holiday weekend reduces the amount of people that will go. People already had family stuff/holidays planned so that will reduce the crowd.

Any neutral will go on to the game on sunday, 2 close matches that could go both ways, saturdays should be more one sided.

I would expect a crowd of 50-60k depending on the weather, the Lily whites and Donegal having the majority.

Also the fact it is a bank holiday weekend reduces the amount of people that will go. People already had family stuff/holidays planned so that will reduce the crowd.

The opposite is probably more true - people choosing to make a weekend of it in Dublin and catching their county's match as well.

According to Hawfield demand has increased significantly on previous games. Expect a huge Lilywhite army to roll into croker to shout on the lads. Looking forward to it. Up the lilies! Kildare and Donegal will have majority of support.

Take my word for it that I am a big follower of the GAA, if I wasn't why the flip would I be on this forum pulling numbers out of my backside?! This won't be the first time I've been to a QF double header in Dublin involving Kerry.

Anyway, 16k - 18k sounds a bit outlandish to me but if Kerry bring those numbers to a QF then fair play to them, I just can't see it to be honest after 20,000 odd Kerry fans turned out in Killarney the other week.

No reason to open the upper tier unless the lower is filled out. The atmosphere is far better for everyone when people are less scattered around the stadium. This thread really should have been merged with the other ones on pretty much the same topics.

    Upper Davin and Cusack open?

The upper Cusack stand is. I assume they open it first because the TV cameras face that direction so it gives the stadium a fuller effect on TV.

    All of them?

Only 'Cusack' is available on tickets.ie, but last I checked they're trying to burn off tickets in Section 715 which is essentially the Davin/Canal Stand.

I think the jumpiness of the offerings is due to clubs and other outlets returning unsold tickets and tickets.ie offering them on their website.

Hogan Upper now also available on tickets.ie. They must be anticipating a good crowd.

Just got tickets for the upper Hogan. Crowd could be close to 60,000.
