Seeking a 3-bed house to rent

Hi,

I am looking for a 3-bed house to rent for the academic year commencing September 2012, for three girls all going into final year in UCC.

I have also posted this in the UCC forum, but beginning to worry as have not been successful in my hunt so far.

If anyone could point me in the direction of a landlord or have any information in the slightest that would be great!

There is Deans Hall http://www.deanshall.com/ I do not know anyone who has stayed there but it cant be too bad

I have trawled through daft.ie and rent.ie but all of the ones I've found that were suitable were only available for either immediate letting or had a 12 month minimum contract!

I actually lived in Deans Hall last year, had no complaints about it and would actually like to live there again this year but one of the girls I'm living with says it's too expensive, so trying to find a house as opposed to student accommodation.

Have you been on to the UCC accommodation office/website - they have a list of approved properties etc.

With the places on Daft, have you contacted the places to see if they will accept a short term rent. A lot of places are up as full term but I am sure they would go short term if it meant getting a letting or not..

where else now, what is yer budget then...

Most landlords put that down regardless on Daft. Have you tried contacting them and sussing out a 9month lease?

It may be the case that the price will be the same, but its not uncommon for them to raise the price slightly for a 9 month rental if they have advertised 12 months on daft. Still worth a shout though.

I'm househunting for a 3 bedroom near UCC also. Only problem is me working in NY until mid September...Quite hard to a view a house from here!

You should really contact UCC accommodation office - college rd. They have a database of houses to let.
