A guy in powercity told me that all Saorview TVs can tune into the old UHF RF signals. Was he correct?

FYI ... I want to connect a new Saorview TV upstairs to the RF output on my skybox downstairs.

Haven't come across any TV without an analogue tuner so I'd say he's correct. An analogue tuner will be required for a while yet for analogue cable, RF2 output etc.

Be warned that with some modern TVs you have to awkwardly switch between analogue and digital modes (rather than have them on the same channel list). Ensure the TV can have them all on the one channel list. You could relocate the SKy box modulator output onto the TV's channel 9.

    Thanks Cush/Antenna ... That's the confirmation I needed.

I have come across digital only TVs in around the 14" size, so watch out.

Will all TV manufacturers will drop analogue tuner in 2013 models?

There is only one tuner which receives analogue and digital. Additional circuitry decodes either type of signal.

All manufacturers won't drop analogue circuitry but some might.
