Clocks for people with memory loss

Hi folks my mum has just finished her 6 weeks of radiotherapy and as well as been totally wrecked 24/7 She is also quite forgetful now and days I can't call to see her she rings and asks what day it is.

So I was wondering would anyone know where I could buy a clock with the day on it in quite large writing so when she wakes up she will know what day she has.

Stock on Sth William Street in Dublin had clocks a few months ago (last time I was there) with time am/pm, day, date, month,year. They were like the old airport rollover type signs. I got a similar (but bigger) one in Habitat years ago for my mother when her memory starting going. Worked fine until she forgot where the clock was!

Aldi had a rectangular, radio controlled, digital clock with Day Date etc last week. €10 IIRC...might be worth an ask

Hope you get lucky, they are not a common thing. They are retro. Used to see them in offices and banks back in the 70s and 80s.

If your Mum cannot remember what day it is, she may need more assistance - have you been in touch with the Alzheimers Society - they will offer support in many types of cases: 1 800 341 341 -it's free to call.

You mentioned radiotherapy in an earlier post, so this might be useful - it's important to touch base with your local group.

Thanks guys for all ur answers especially blindsider you put a lot of effort into it.

I'm not looking for my mam anymore as she passed away sept12 I'm now looking for my sister who lives alone and gets a bit confused and would have a mild learning disability so the digital form of those clocks are no use to her at all.

I need to get one that has 1-12 but days taking up 3 numbers like the pic I put up above

Sorry guys I have not explained myself properly here. I know I can get these clocks on eBay Amazon and so on but with delivery import tax and price of clock it comes to € 60 which is a lot for a small plastic clock . I will buy it that way if I have to but I was wondering if anyone maybe had one lying around at home as a lot of people suffer from memory loss in this country and their loved ones may have bought one of these clocks for them.
