Which is correct? I've seen them both used and Google Translate said they both meant "engaging in" but I don't trust Google Translate much o_O

You can use "i mbun" to indicate being in charge of something as well as being engaged with or in the middle of it - "i mbun tionscadail" could be in the middle of a project or in charge of a project (i.e. overseeing/managing it). Wouldn't use "ag gabháil" in the latter sense there. Right now I can't think of any example of ag gabháil apart from ag gabháil cheoil - playing music. If nobody else can help then you'll have to wait till I sober up ... :P
