Have to say the women's peleton is doing a way better attempt to get the break back than the men's one yesterday.

There ended up with 30 or so men up the road yesterday, there are 3 women. With so many up the road in the mens a lot of team would not be riding. Anyway, break is going out.

    Dutch looks the strongest

    Armistrad is the GBR rider

Voss and Armistrad won't set the pace now, which is what the Russian was doing

    Voss takes the gold
    Armistrad takes the Silver
    Russian takes the Bronze

That was some sprint from Voss tbh

Caught the last 20k of that. Horrible conditions. I was sure the GBR rider would take it, in the last 2k or so, she started skipping her go at the front and fair play to the other two for working to the end.

At the Fabian "gotcha" corner, HOW in the name of God did the lead rider (don't know the nationality) in the pelothon manage to stay up, see she actually lost the front wheel, it skidded sideways and I'd say 999 times out of 1000 would have and should have gone down, but it gripped again and she somehow managed to stay upright. -Should've gotten a gold medal for that alone!

In fairness she started skipping her turns but the Russian done no work at all for half the time they were away, and then she took a turn (which even when she did were short) and neither of the two would take it off her. Can't blame them. Voss is the better sprinter of the two, Armistrad would have to caught her off guard

Thought it was a fantastic race, full of incident, thoroughly entertaining.
