From T2, you can either head for the link corridor from a gap between WH Smith and the tatty Irish nicknack shop, or head follow signs for "Airline Lounges" (head towards the pier and then turn sharply back at the bottom of the escalators)

From T1, head towards the Aer Lingus lounge.

The "link" is effectively the remains of Pier C.

T2 pax arriving into Pier B also have a dedicated corridor to take them to the T2 arrivals hall.

Is this link (airside departures) Both ways? I.e. can I go through security in terminal 2, go to the loop in terminal one, then double back? Are they one way/different leveled/partitioned? I know when I landed at pier b going to terminal 2 there didn't seem to be a way but I could be mistaken.

In departures yes you can clear security in either terminal and proceed to any gate. Obviously if you have bags to check in that must be done in the appropriate terminal.

Arrivals is completely segregated so you must go where you are directed.
