Today Ireland lost a true legend in Jim Kenny.

A dj's dj who for 30 yrs reinvented to art of being a dj while being a gent all that time

    RIP Jim.

I heard this from a friend only yesterday,

For those under 30, Jim was the resident DJ at Tamangos for over 20 years.

A dj's dj, and will be sorely missed

I even have one of his mix tapes somewhere...all the reason to dust off the tape deck and have a listen.

    RIP Jim.

very sad. jim was the real deal.
beat mixing since the late 70s, and the first irish dj with a proper mixshow (the midnight megamix) on sunshine 101 in the mid 80's.
a nicer bloke you couldnt meet. i think some of the newer club deejays dont realise how important he was.
