    Hi all,

My brother has his driving test on Monday. He bought a new car last week and has since changed his insurance over but hasn't received the disk yet. The tax on the car was also up last month and he hasn't paid that yet. If he pays his tax online and prints off the receipt and brings that along with some kind of proof from the insurance company will that be enough to show the tester the car is taxed and insured? It didn't dawn on him until today that he won't have the discs up to show the tester.

    Any help is greatly appreciated!

In short , no. Any anomalies on the discs on the vehicle the examiner will not complete the test. Any chance he could use another car from instructor or maybe a friends which he could get insurance on between now and then? But for a friends car again he would need to be sure that everything on the car is 110%. Good luck.

Thanks for the reply, he looks as though he is going to have to get insured on someone else's car for the day. Thanks again!
