Car vandalised overnight

This stuff makes my blood boil- woke up this morning to see that some scrote had keyed the bonnet of my E92.
The scratch is along the entire length of the bonnet and goes down to the metal so it looks pretty bad and will obviously affect the re-sale value of the car as well as being an eye sore to me.

Does anyone know a good place to get a re-spray or if that is even an option? It's things like this that make me want to give up buying nice card and get a corolla :-/

Assuming you are in Dublin try Carcraft in Ballybough. www.carcraft.ie

No but I have seen some of their work and it's top notch at a good price. Couple of people on here have if you search should be a couple of hits.

My condolences man. Thats a cowardly thing for someone to do to another person's vehicle; something they more than likely spent a long time working hard for only to have some scumbag damage it for no good reason at all.

Had my E92 keyed also a few years back, bonnet and sides, brought it to a main dealer and as good as new

Thought you were in Cork for some reason, if so Owen Hodder on Tramore Rd in The John Harrington Ind Estate does great work at not too bad prices.

It's very much easy, albeit not tiny money to sort so don't worry too much about that end of things.

My sister is living quite close to the City centre and one of the things effecting her next car choice is no off street parking. Her Ka was vandalised a few times over the years. Wing mirror broken off, door keyed and once a traffic cone was placed on the roof with some scratching in the process.

Hard to account for f*cktards really.

Carcraft do a good job. I have seen their work and have been quoted for work on two cars. One needing a bumper repaired and respray. The other a full respray. They are not cheap I can tell you.

I really feel for you. Don't let some bast**d ruin you automotive enjoyment. I don't under stand why anyone ruins any car ,E92 or Lada. That is someones pride and joy and most people work hard for what they have.

I'm based in Cork alright but don't mind travelling if I have to.
I live quite close to Tramore Road actually so will check out Owen on my way to work, cheers for that, didn't know there was a place nearby!

There's no accounting for some people's actions.

Might be no harm to get more than one quote :)
Kevin Neville in Southside Industrial Estate (next door to PR Reilly Motor Factors on the road into Premier Auto Parts and DHL etc) would also be top notch at reasonable rates, can't be too far from you either.

OP before you get your bonnet re-sprayed - take a photo of it.
When you will be selling car at some stage and you get buyer who knows the business he can ask you a question if car was damaged / why it was re-sprayed. photo proof will answer his concerns. :)

I'd much prefer they suffered sooner than a next life, unless of course its very soon.
Any disparaging talk of its only an old yoke (ie a Ka) or whatever is nonsense, if its old and in good condition its because its kept well.

No, thats correct, I meant when someone is caught damaging a car and fob it off by saying something disparaging, ie someone damaged my car once, and then came back at me with ahh shure its only x year and shure its not worth anything, it was in great condition till they reversed into me :(
I was agreeing with Anthony4335, its someones car, maybe their pride and joy, damaging someones car is low.

Can fully vouch for Kevin Neville, got work done by him and was very happy with the results, nice guy and knows what he's doing.

Nothing worse than some a**hat keying your car.

Got my first ever brand new car a few years back. Had it two weeks and got keyed across the rear passenger door and quarter panel. I was never so angry. €800 of damage.

Pretty sure I know who did it too, but couldn't prove it, there was a camera looking at the street, but my car was just out of frame.

Now I'm paranoid ever since, always expect to come back to my car to find something.

I've had my wing mirrors broke three times in a particular place. Not the glass, but actually physically broken off the car, just wires keeping them held on.

Are there any decent cameras can be got to record this happening? (I know who's doing it) I know of the dash cam ones but they're a bit big I reckon.

Sadly op this is commonplace wit such a nice car :(

How deep is the scratch? Have you a yard or car park to park in?

I hope you catch who did it op, they might think twice about doing that if they saw the work going into painting a bonnet

Nothing really to add but, really sorry to hear and hope you get it sorted :)

    Cheers for all the replies.
It's usually parked up in a drive but that particular night I was visiting friends so it was parked on the street. I spoke to some of my friends neighbours and housemates last night and a few of their cars have been keyed also on the same night, some much worse than my own!
Seems it wasn't a targeted attack on a 'nice' car but completely random. Over a €1000 worth of damage between us I'd say, though one neighbour is convinced a scratch repair kit form Dunnes will sort her damage! :D
