Great idea in theory but u need to have knowledgeable hosts and I'm not sure Merson will cut it. Statto from the original fantasy football would be class!

For this show to have any credibility, I'd want to see it hosted by people who have consistently finished FF seasons in the top 0.1% (or something like that).

Paul Merson won't tell us anything we won't hear on any other crappy Sky Sports show.

On that note, let me plug BBC Radio 5Live yet again. *That's* where you get useful info. I owe my "251st out of 2.7million people and top 100 for a period" place last season to that radio station.

Paul Merson said on sky last Saturday that he has never played fantasy football.
Therefore I'd imagine it may be a learning curve for him or perhaps beginners luck.

Didn't like it , thought it was all over the place and Merse looked out of his comfort zone.

Friday nights. sky sports, think its repeated a few times during the week.
Its a bit of a joke really as they have guests last week that didnt have teams picked + havent played before etc.
Also sky game is not a patch on fpl (except for prizes)

do you not think its a harder game & more difficult to get big scores in?

this is why i think people don't like it

Its more that Fpl has way,way more users + has alot more people that take it more seriously than any other fantasy game.
Simply , if you win the fpl you will get more respect and more famous (relatively speaking) against if you win one of the others where u will get better prizes.
Speaking for myself i always play Fpl but only intermittently play others.

I don't get to listen where I am now, so I'm not certain of current times. I basically tuned in after 7pm Mon-Fri and they almost always talk football. Monday night and Friday night were certainties, with Tues-Thurs also mixing in other sports.

Then the weekends were fantastic. Live commentary at every game. At 3pm they'll have a "main commentary", but will jump to any other game there's an event in (goal, penalty, sending off, etc), along with regular updates. They don't always have the 5:30pm game, though - but they always talk about all of the day's games from 4:45pm-7pm on a Sat. They also start their day at midday, which is handy for info, even if it's too late for the current GW.

While radio commentary lacks the benefit of being able to see the players play yourself (duh), the quality of commentating is far superior to any of the nonsense on Sky, plus you get coverage of every single match instead of just one, meaning you're well informed of the current hot players.

You're better off just looking at the schedule instead of reading my nonsense: http://www.bbc.co.uk/5live/programmes/schedules

It's a League Cup week, so things will be a little different. They're covering the Fulham match though, which may be useful. The Paralympics also opens tomorrow, I think, which could also mess up their usual schedules. Fridday's and Monday's should still be normal enough though.

Thanks for that. I actually use ExPatShield to allow myself access to the radio online. It's more of a time restraint stopping me, rather than physical one. Thanks though. I'm sure both links will help someone!
