Tyres for communting/racing

I currently commute to and from work (32km each way) and this week the rear tyre I had gave up and I got 3 punctures in the one day

The thing is I am looking at doing a few races and currently race triathlons and as I'm on an overall budget I can’t afford to get 2 sets of wheels and tyres so I need tyres that mix the sort of durability and puncture resistance you would like for commuting and the lightweight, responsiveness and speed you would like for racing.

When I say budget I mean overall in terms of the grand scheme of things, I don’t mind spending a few quid on the tyres. Any recommendations and or experiences welcome

    cheers

    without a doubt conti gp4000s,

even in the city Ive only had 1 puncture and that was a very wet day so glass gets thru easier.
by this time with every other tyre Id be on at least puncture number 6 and my tyres would be cut up.

I raced on them last season and needed a tyre in a hurry for my commuter bike so used a race tyre . I miss the gp4000s for racing so will go back to them(currently using Challenge Criterium)
perfect tyre imo, would be nice with 145psi option with the same puncture protection

Michelin Krylion Carbons - tough, low rolling resistance and (relatively) light.

I've never had an issue with them. That said, I mostly cycle upright so the sidewall doesn't get the same wear yours seems to :)

Got great mileage out of the panaracers :-)

Currently on schwalbe marathons but I'll move back to the panaracers when the current ones wear out.

    They are a great tyre
