I've heard of and used these:

    Apple juice
    Table sugar
    Dextrose / glucose
    Honey

Are there other options that I'm not considering?

What's going to produce the tastiest half litre (:pac:) and why?

Priming involves so little extra sugar it's not going to make any noticeable difference to the flavour.

Ah I'm mister fizzy. I go with 10g per litre and may in fact up that. When adding apple juice that's around the 10% mark so it's going to reduce the ABV versus using dextrose or some kind of syrup.

Hmmm. Maple syrup could be worth a punt now that I think about it.

Tried splenda, dextrose, sugar, crystalline ginger and original juice.. All the same but found the adolphe juice actually was the best in terms of flavour

50 / 50 that it was home brew or auto correct. :D

    1/1 it was both

ANyway the juice I had from the original pressing I froze then thawed it out to room temp when priming (let all the gunk settle in the bottom of the container).

On another occasion I just used the original pressed apple juice I bought from shop... both occasions it tasted a bit more apply than the sugar,,
