    Hi.

I’m 26 year old guy, and the girl I like is 23. When I say girl I like, I mean, we started dating last September, we got together in November and we ended about a month and a half ago. She got depressed, her self esteem was nearly non existent and she kept looking to me and her friends for reassurance. She ended it with me, saying she still loved me and that she still wanted to be with me, she just couldn’t concentrate on a relationship. However, we still talked, and we decided to try again.. But then things happened in my life that are just so stressful, I don’t know what to do. This girl is constantly texting when I just want time alone, and gets upset if I don’t reply. I told her that I can’t focus on anything other than my problems and she got a bit upset. I don’t know what to do. I want to be with her, but with both our problems, it’s hard to work out. I don’t want to hurt her, and she is always telling me she loves me. I just don’t really know what I want tbh.. Anyone have any advice?

They say that men tend to want time to themselves when something's bothering them, while women want to talk about it. That's a bit of a stereotype, but it certainly seems to be the case here. She definitely talks about things and looks for reassurance when she's bothered about something. You need your own space. She doesn't understand that so she feels rejected. Try explaining that to her - that it's just a different way of dealing with distress, and not that you're pushing her away or whatever.
