So let's say I want to buy a console game tomorrow, where do I go? With the demise of Game, are Xtravision any good, HMV?

Dundrum shopping centre, for instance, I can only think of 1 place to buy games now - HMV.

I miss bargain hunting in the clearance rack in Game... :(

C.E.X in town maybe, I can tell you there was slim pickings in the nearest xtravision to Dundrum at nutgrove when i was in during the week.

HMV are very good now imo.

Yeah, i'd say HMV are one of the better places around town these days. At least they still have a bigger new games section, compared to Gamestop's "entire shop is used games" plan.

HMV are best on prices but have a pretty poor selection outside of the current chart games. Gamespot have a better selection, but unless a game is on sale, it'll be more expensive than anywhere, and Xtra-Vision are somewhere in the middle.

There's a real gap in the market for a dedicated chain.
