Hi all, i"m new to this site so please bere with me.
I am a plumber by trade working in the domestic scene,as we all know its gone down the tubes. I am looking to switch to the industrial side of it but i dont have any experience. Would anyone know how i could make the switch or what type of course to take so i might be considered for a position.

I find a lot of commercial plumbers are coming into the domestic arena, so I would check before you make the effort, good luck with it.

Well, I think if you are having good skills in plumbing in domestic sector, then you should continue in that direction only. May be now you are not getting too much from it, but have patience you will be get success in future if you work with full determination.

have to agree with gary.Having spent 16 years in commercial/industrial plumbing,i moved to domestic couple of years ago as the industrial side is on a slippery slope, and if you do find work with a company it may be for very short time and from what i hear the rates are dropping and dropping too

Thanks for the advice lads, i"ve been self employed for 8 years and its getting to a stage where i got 2 days this week 3 next week and maybe 1 the next.I dont plan on giving up completely if i could i would go on shift rotations month on month off or something similar, where i could keep the business ticking over till things get better.
