Hey, was wondering if someone could help me with this...

I have a DEll XPS15 running W7 which has a USB3.0 port. I am trying to use a video capture device which requires the driver be at version 2.0.4.0.

Mine is at 2.0.3.0. I located the correct driver (which was harder than it should have been) but when I try to apply it I get a message like this:

A later version of 'Renesas Electronics USB 3.0 Host Controller Driver' is already installed o this machine. The setup cannot continue.

However when I check the driver in control panel it's at 2.0.3.0...

I can't find anything in Google. It's driving me mad as this is supposed to be a difficult pvr to get working but this is not supposed to be a problem. Anyone have an idea?

You could try un-installing the device in device manager adn remove the drivers if prompted. Set the automatic installation of the drivers in windows here to not install automatically and then manually install from your downloaded location.
