My brother has been offered one of these, just wondering are they reliable and what mpg he would get. Its from a family friend and it is mint with 40k on the clock. Any problems with them or are they a decent bus?
    Thanks

They are a good machine generally. Can't comment on fuel economy though I'd imagine it isn't great.

Wife had one. Thirsty beast. Hated it actually. She's a 06 corolla hatch now and loves that.

Personally I think it would need at least the 1.8 or else the diesel - a low torque small capacity petrol is not going to be fast at the best of times and will be seriously underpowered when fully laden, which will not only drive someone mad while driving it but will have knock on effects with fuel economy.

Apart from that the C-Max is a fine car, but I'd prefer a Zafira or Verso or something with seven seats.

I would consider the C-Max a much nicer car than the Zafira or Verso. Obviously if you need the extra 2 seats then that is a different story.

Thanks guys, it will be doing very little mileage anyway. More worried about reliability than anything else. It will be costing 1700 pounds with a new mot, obviously its in england. Sounds cheap to me.
