So, I have a couple of friends who are in full time education and can claim the dole during this summer? Apparently, it is only if you are over 25. Anybody know anymore about this?

If you were >23 years of age on the 1st January prior to commencing your course you can apply for jobseekers allowance for the summer months which is a means tested payment or if you have an entitlement to jobseekers benefit you can receive this. You have to be actively looking for full time work in order to receive jobseekers.
