kids bike repair?

    i've a kids bike -single speed

    the sprocket at the back is turning but it's not engaging the wheel anymore

    is it possible to fix or would i need a new back wheel
    thanks

    Yes a new freewheel should do it. Drop into your local bike shop.

    It may also be possible to free it up with WD40.
    1. Lay bike on ground with sprocket uppermost.
    2. Spin the wheel so the sprocket stays still.
    3. Squirt a steady stream of WD40 between the moving and stationary parts.
    4. This may free up the ratchet mechanism inside
    5. If it does, continue spinning the wheel and squirt a stream of light oil (3 in 1 or such) in the same place.
