Just a quick question.I applied for JA a couple of weeks ago and am still waiting to be means tested.I understand that there is a waiting list so applied for supplementary welfare.Got a letter this morning which said i was awarded xxx per week. My question is this:- is this figure a marker for what im likely to get on JA? Cheers in advance

Cheers for the reply, but I really havnt a clue as i've never been in this situation before. I have no idea how they calculate things.Dont know what ill get on JA. All i was wondering was, seeing as i was means tested for supplementary welfare,is it the same means test for JA and, hence, would the outcome be pretty much the same or is it a different kettle of fish altogether? Cant see me surviving on what they have awarded or is this just a stopgap till im properly assessed?

    Usually it's a different thing.

Just a simple way of determining though: how old are you, have you ever gotten JSA before and are you living at home?
