Advice on Route around Sligo and rain jacket

hey all,

As the title says.

I am heading up to Sligo next week for two days and want to get in some cycling when i am up there.

I am looking for routes around 20km-30km, nothing to testing as i am only recently back on the road from a bit of trouble with my knee. So weather permiting i wish to get in some routes. Any help from my north west co-horts would be much appriciated!

Also as a side - what would people recommend as a good rain jacket that can fold up easy enough and put in the back pocket of my cycling jersey?

Head North for Donegal on the N15 and do a loop around Mullaghmore and back again or cross the main road at Cliffony and do the Gleniff Horseshoe, both stunning routes with the giant waves at Mullaghmore or the canyon like features of the horseshoe.

You could try part of the Tour of Sligo routes, the 60km route here http://www.tourofsligo.ie/the-routes/60km-lough-gill-circuit/ obviously you will need to take it easy until your knees are up to it but it would give you an idea of what's involved so when your fit and ready you can take on the tour next year
