Google sky map

    Hey there!
    I've recently found this android app called "google sky map" and i was wondering how accurate it is or if anyone was any opinions on this app?

    This app came with my Samsung tablet. I love it.

    My four year old and I will go out into the back garden and hold it up to the sky. It really is a cool little app to show him what is going on over our heads.

    It also works during the day as well, so you can hold it anywhere and it will show you what is currently above/below the horizon.

    The reason i am asking is because i am new to astronomy and i am finding orientation hard, i bought a second hand telescope and the viewfinder was missing so i was going to make a bracket and mount my phone to the telescope, hopefully it will work :) I'll throw up some pictures if it does!
