Paint or not paint

I have just finished plastering and skiming inside of a new build.

I had planned to wait for about 2 weeks and then give it all one quick spray of white paint before anything is done.

my plumber says this is a serious bad idea that I should have the heating on for a while before painting.

What are the views................. very easy to paint before a single thing goes in but dont' want to do it if cracks may appear afterwards as the plumber suggests.

Hi, there should be no great issue with painting before the heating goes on, as long as the plaster is fully dry everything should be ok.

.... the walls with the insulated board will be fine but how long should I leave the mortared walls........ i was thinking they shoudl be fine in 2 weeks but plumber adamant not to.

I always though you needed 4-8 weeks depending on thickness of paster, humidity etc.

If you paint plaster that is not dry it will blister and all need to be scrapped off to be repaired. Nightmare job.
