South Sligo problem with electricity????

    Does anyone know what is going on with the power here?

    It is not off....but it is not right..

    Kettle won't boil...electric shower and cooker etc wont work...

    electric lights and lamps are dim...

    who knows what is going on??:)

    well there's two things you can do, 1 Call your supplier or 2 call an electrician.

    Probably go for Option 2 there. If there's power, then there's nothing wrong with the supply going into your house. But if there are some electrical items that won't work and some that do then you have a fault in the house. Could be something as simple as a blown fuse or a tripped switch but on the off chance that it could be more serious, best get a sparky to have a look.

    just to update

    it was a problem in all houses in the area not just in my house.

    It was like that for a few hours....then the power was switched off altogether for a short while before being fully restored.

    It remains a mystery what the cause of it was in the area:D
