Just want to pick someones brain. I am a qualified ACCA accountant with 3 years post qual experience (earning EUR49000) in financial services, I am working in Dublin and would like to relocate to Cork, I got a job offer but the job is only EUR35000 for a temp job. i am wondering is it normal to have such a drop in salary to move from Dublin to Cork? I wouldve thought that a qualified accountant in any industry should get EUR40,000 once they have relevant experience? I would really appreciate people's opinions

Employers market and all the jobs are in Dublin at the minute. I'd imagine you'll be waiting for quite some time before a similar €50k job pops up in Cork.

Would be about right. The drop would be atleast 10k so I'd say around 40.

I'm looking at the moment and most positions are coming in at 35 - 40. It's the reality of working in Cork.

Thanks for this update, I am in a permanent job at the moment so a leap from permanent to contract is probably not very sensible in this economic climate.
