Try first ireland as well, they have this deal if your instructor (with whom you did 12 EDT lessons) is with First Ireland you will get quite a good discount up to 20% or 10% off.
I am learner, got lessons from instructor who was with first ireland and got discount, got same price (1650) but I was 18 years old at that time.

Talking to a lad I know on Sat and he is a 20yr old provisional driver in a 1.6 and he went to Lloyd's and said he got it for 1,400 or there about. Shop around as much as you can as there is a real variety in the prices. its4women.ie is one that I have found quite good. Get a quote online and just add in your partner to see the full price. Its worth a shot. Best of Luck! :)

Just shop around to see what's the best price you can get. For me it was Tesco; less than 1000 for fully comp. But I got a quote almost 4 times that somewhere else

You've given us very little to go on here.

Who's name is the policy under? (Male or Female)
    Age?
    Experience?
    etc.

But being honest the only person who is going to be able to answer this question is yourself. Take an hour at lunch and ring around to every broker/insurer you can find and you'll know fairly quick what is good and what's not. I do emphasise the RING element.
