I dunno how it is on Jobbridge but as far as I know you get a backweek on JSA.
So if you get your money on wednesday, quit then. There should be another batch of money the following wednesday (at least there was for me when I got a temp job a while ago).

You will not get paid for the days you work. You need to let you sw office know that you are commencing employment if there are days owed to you then these will be paid either into post office or alternatively if you cannot get to the PO then by cheque. If you do not inform sw and collect money that you are not entitled to then if you need to sign on again there will be an overpayment and this will be deducted from your claim.

Thanks for replys guys, unfortunately though they do conflict with one another!

Unless there is the week add on as stated if finished on the Thursday i recieve JSA - and if this is not taken away from you again if you sign on in the future - I'm taking it that there is no 'best' day as you will get the days you worked pro-rata even if it is not a full weeks work via e.g. cheque

I have also read on Boards that you will get JSA until the day you start your new employment. The contract is in the UK so i have to take a week before start date to find accomadation etc so i was hoping when my JobBridge employer gives social welfare my leaving date I will still be entitled to another week of JSA minus the 50 quid.

I dunno how it'd work in London but as far as I know, you aren't going to get it for that as it'd be considered holidays I think.

Just go in and ask. And best bet is to try to get the boss to start the contracted on the day you get your money.

Your making a lot of assumptions! London?

You get 12 days a year holidays on SW as far as I know but the fact is I'm unemployed until the day i start work so need the money till then, im going for a few days to find accomadation before im off the register im sure they cudnt view that as trying to bleed the system but either way i wudnt be telling them im going abroad for few days. Only a fool brings bother on himself :D

Cant just go in Im afraid as out in the total sticks at the mo, hence boards.

    Thanks though!

Bit tired, I honestly thought you said London :o
You might be employed but I don't know if you cna get it while abroad. You'd really need to check with them. Maybe try ring the head office and get some advice.
