At the last stage of converting a song to a ringtone...

    Bought a song from iTunes, did the converting to AAC and changing file to .m4r etc Its in my iTunes folder under "tones" but just will not sync to my phone (3GS). Any ideas?

    I had a nightmare getting some tones to sync so I downloaded ringtone designer from the app store - its free and works perfectly every time without needing to convert any files.
    Although, did you convert the acc file back to normal before syncing? That might help.

    Have you selected the 30 second clip you want or is it still full length?

    Yep, did both of these!! Is it meant to be this difficult???

    I'm delighted it worked out for ya!
    Saved me hours of mucking around in iTunes!!
